The Australian Control Conference has a particular focus on bringing together the people in the systems and control community. The pricing policy reflects this focus by having a bias towards each paper being presented by a different author - in particular, there is only a single paper upload associated with each full registration and the charge for additional papers is nearly the same as that of a student registration. We strongly encourage all academics to support their students to attend and give them the opportunity to present in what will be a dynamic and exciting professional conference.

Pricing (in Australian Dollars)

Full registration: $450 (entitles the author to upload 1 paper and attend all conference functions, including the conference dinner)
Student registration: $300 (see below for eligibility, entitles the student author to upload 1 paper and attend all conference functions, including the conference dinner)
Extra paper price: $250 (only available with a full registration, entitles the author to upload an additional paper)
Additional banquet ticket: $110 (entitles 1 guest to attend the conference banquet for dinner on 17 November 2014)
Late registration (after 19 September 2014): full $550, student $400 (conditions as for standard registrations)

Eligibility criteria for student registrations

All students registering for the conference must have been enrolled at a recognised university in a relevant technical degree at a level equivalent to at least half time during the preceding 12 months to the conference. That is, at least half time for the full academic year of 2014, or full time during the first semester 2014.

The registration form for students requires you to provide the name of your university, supervisor name, and course dates. There is no requirement to provide evidence beyond this information with your registration. However, should the conference organisers find you to have misrepresented your case, then any paper associated with your registration will be removed from the proceedings, and you will be reported to the IEEE Control Systems Society for professional malpractice. Such cases often result in being struck off IEEE conference attendance for a period of 3 to 5 years.

How to pay

Registration is through Engineers Australia, please click here. Please take care when selecting from the various registration options. Payment by credit card is preferred, however, invoices can be provided if required. You must register before uploading your final paper.

Final paper upload

Once you have registered you can upload the final versions of your accepted papers through the PaperCept Conference Management System. The site will provide details of the process as usual. Your paper will not be confirmed in the final program unless the registration fee for the paper has been received.

Non-attendance and refunds

Should a registered author not attend the conference without prior notice to the Program committee chair, then the paper will be removed from the IEEE conference proceedings.

In the case that you cannot attend the conference for compassionate or legal reasons you must contact either the General chair, Robert Mahony, [email protected] or the Program committee chair, Valeri Ougrinovski, [email protected] as soon as possible. Depending on the situation, partial refunds may be possible, and any associated papers will remain in the proceedings.

Refunds for attendees without presentation commitments are available during the normal registration period. No refunds will be given except for compassionate reasons after 19 September 2014. There is a non-refundable amount of $100 (Australian Dollars) on every payment to cover processing costs.
